Our community is about to hit a major milestone! This July 10–12, we aren’t just hosting a reunion; we are celebrating 75 years of the people, businesses, and spirit that make Lively home.
To make this weekend a success for the many guests we expect, we aren’t looking for “volunteers”—we are looking for Anniversary Ambassadors.
As an Ambassador, you’ll be the heartbeat of the celebration. Whether you’re interested in participating in the parade, hosting our heritage archives, or welcoming neighbors back to town, there is a role for you.

ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE LIVELY 75th PARADE!

Lively is turning 75, and we’re celebrating with the biggest, boldest parade our town has ever seen! Since 1951, this community has grown from a mining town into the vibrant heart of the Walden area—and now it’s time to march through the streets and show our pride.

Grab your lawn chairs, invite your neighbors, and get ready for a morning of music, classic cars, and local spirit!

 Event Schedule

  • When: Saturday, July 11th, 2026
  • Parade Starts: 10:00 AM Sharp (Setup 8 – 9:55 AM LDSS)
  • Where: The parade will wind through the heart of Lively (6th Ave to Queen Elizabeth to Anderson Farm)

What to Expect:

  • Floats: Celebrating 75 years of Lively history.
  • Classic Car Show: Vintage rides from every decade since the 50s.
  • The Kids’ Bike Brigade: Look out for the decorated bikes and prizes!

After the Parade:

The fun doesn’t stop at the finish line! Follow the crowd to Anderson Farm and the Walden Arena for:

  • Arts presentations & Historical exhibits
  • Nostalgic games for all ages
  • Food and drink vendors
  • A community dance at the Arena on Saturday evening!

The Kids’ Bike Brigade

We aren’t just riding for fun – we’re looking for the most creative rides in town! Our judges will be handing out prizes for:

  • Most Creative Design
  • Best Use of “Lively Pride” Colors
  • Most Historic/Retro Look

The Details

  • When: Saturday, July 11th
  • Line-up & Judging: 9:00 AM (Judging starts at 9:15!)
  • Meeting Spot: The LDSS Parking Lot
  • Theme: Lively Pride

Quick Tips for a Winning Ride:

  • Streamers: Weave them through your handlebars for maximum flair.
  • Spoke Decor: Playing cards or beads make your bike sound and look like a masterpiece.
  • Safety First: Ensure decorations won’t get caught in your chain.
  • Helmets are mandatory!

Let’s make this the biggest, brightest, and most decorated bike brigade Lively has ever seen!

Parents, please stay with your children throughout the parade route. We can’t wait to see your award-winning creations!

If you have people coming from away and that will require local accommodations let us know so we can make arrangements with Tourism Sudbury to contact the area hotels.
